Seasonal Sets for Live Broadcasting

Since 2023, Josh has designed seasonal sets for ABC’s The View, transforming one of daytime television’s most recognizable studios for its holiday episodes. Working alongside the show’s production design team, each season starts with a concept presentation and ends as a live set built to read on camera, change over quickly and hold up to a full broadcast day.

Halloween, 2023: The Haunted Mansion
An homage to the Disney classic in three scenes: Madam Leota’s séance room, a candlelit banquet hall and a moonlit cemetery for the show’s kids’ costume segment. As featured in PEOPLE.

Reunion Specials, 2024
Sets for the Taxi, A Different World and Sister Act 2 reunions, each a nod to the original show’s world.

Holiday, 2024: A Classic Farewell
The show’s last holiday season in its longtime Upper West Side studio, before the move to ABC’s new Hudson Square headquarters downtown. The set went fully classic and festive, a traditional holiday send-off for a studio with decades of history.

Holiday, 2025: Central Park in Winter
A Central Park skating rink, rendered on the studio’s LED walls, transforms the set in seconds. Over-scaled, ornament-packed trees frame the Hot Topics table, and a gingerbread train carries the season’s “Hot Holiday Toys.”
This episode earned The View a 2026 Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design for a Daytime Program.
